Our Story

Our founder has been a working mobile notary in the Bay Area since 2004 — handling loan signings, estate documents, and notarizations across Solano, Napa, and Contra Costa counties.

After years of watching new notaries struggle through confusing or poorly organized education materials, we decided to build something better. A course written by someone who actually knows what a notary faces in the field — not just what the Government Code says.

Our Courses

We offer two California Secretary of State-approved online courses:

• →6-Hour Education Course — required for all first-time California notary applicants
• →3-Hour Refresher Course — required for renewing California notaries

Both courses are 100% online, self-paced, and deliver your certificate of completion instantly upon passing the final exam.

Our Commitment to Compliance

California CE Academy is an approved notary public education vendor under the California Secretary of State (SOS). Our courses are reviewed and approved by the SOS before any student can enroll. We maintain full compliance with California Government Code §8201 and the notary public education regulations in Title 2, California Code of Regulations.

We keep detailed enrollment and completion records as required by SOS regulations and make them available for audit upon request.
